Cassie Williams Obituary

Classie Donna Williams (Wardlaw) was born May 2,
1941 in Anderson, South Carolina. Classie was the fifth of
eight siblings born to Alberta Harris - Wardlaw and major
Herman Wardlaw in which both preceded her in death.
Classie's family migrated from South Carolina to Ypsilanti, MI in
1941. Classie attended Ypsilanti Elementary Schools and when the
family moved to Detroit, she attended Detroit Middle Schools and
Northwestern High School.

Classie was united in holy matrimony three times and each union a
child was born: Earl Wesley Wilkins Jr., Tamala Dadeen Wilkins and
Natasha Taree Williams.

Classie is preceded in death by her siblings: Laura Smith, Ann Morgan,
Mary Clark, Herman Wardlaw, Cornell Wardlaw and Larry Wardlaw.
Later in life Classie went back to college at Marygrove College where
she studied Special Education and received an Associates Degree.
Classie was an entrepreneur at a young age owning her own clothing
and jewelry boutique. She always worked retail and love working as
an florist "She had a true green thumb". Classie enjoy the finer things
and loved Interior Decorating and fashion. She had to have her coffee,
look at the sun and enjoy the fresh air.

Classie accepted Christ at a young age and rededicated her life and
was baptized in 2000. She love the Lord and all her faith and trust was
in him.

Classie was truly a classic!

Classie made her transition Saturday, January 10, 2015 and leaves
to cherish her Classie memories, son: Wesley Wilkins Jr.; daughters:
Tamala Wilkins and Natasha Williams; sister: Eva Gambles (Louise);
three grandchildren: Earl Wilkins III (Gabrielle), Classie Thompson
(Joseph) and Karlnelia Williams; five great grand children: Jordyn
Jewell, Earl Wilkins IV, Randi Jewell, Kayleah Harris her Poo-Poo
and Thalia Wilkins and soon to be great grandson Deair. Special
acknowledgments: cousin/sister: Allie Alberta Harris (Berta); son:
David Gandy her Big Guy; goddaughter: Joy Simmons and special
friend Mrs. Shirley Donahue; and a host of three generations of
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
