Linda Cecilia Patrick was born in Forest, Mississippi on January 22, 1944 to the union of Dock Lee Patrick and Thelma Margaret West Patrick. Thelma West Patrick remarried and relocated to Detroit, Michigan where Linda grew up and received her education through the Detroit public school system. After graduating from high school Linda met and married Reginald Frank Bell Sr., and to this union was born Reginald Frank Bell Jr. (Reggie), Todd Douglas Bell, and Tavis Alan Bell.
Linda came to know the Lord at a young age, she joined several churches throughout her life, she was a member of Friendship Baptists, Detroit, Michigan; Pentecostal Temple, Inkster, Michigan; and her final church home was New Hope Baptist, Wayne, Michigan. Linda served as an usher while she attended New Hope Baptist and she was a faithful member until she became ill.
Linda sought advancement for herself and her family; she enrolled in school to further her education. After completing her educational training, she accepted a position with Park Davis Pharmaceuticals.
After her marriage dissolved with Reginald Sr., she met and married Lehman Gardner and they relocated to Inkster, Michigan. To this union was born Jamal Jamel Gardner and Kristal Joy Gardner. Linda continued in her pursuit for career advancement by furthering her education, both she and her son Reggie attended Washtenaw Community College. Upon completion, Linda accepted a position with the Inkster Police Department as a dispatcher. Her pursuits for progression also lead her to accept a position as a correctional officer for the Jackson State Penitentiary and Ionia Correctional Facility.
Linda's strength and tenacity to provide a better life for herself and her family steered her to transition her career to the Automotive Industry. She worked for General Motors where she provided excellent service and later switched to Saturn, GM. She relocated to Columbus, Tennessee and worked for Saturn, GM for 10 years then retired and returned home to Inkster, Michigan.
Linda became ill in 2003 and was lovingly cared for by her children until the Lord called her home on January 6, 2017.
